  2. Ladies and Gentlemen,
  3.  
  4.    Here's a neat little trick that you can
  5. do with WinMX to ensure that you've not 
  6. downloaded the same file twice or more. How
  7. annoying!! Until WinMX(Frontcode Technologies)
  8. does something to fix this problem it's a way 
  9. to save bandwidth and your time/effort/money.
  10.  
  11.    1.) Share all files that you have already
  12. downloaded. (Perhaps save them in a special
  13. directory for reference.)
  14.  
  15.    2.) Connect to some popular OpenNap Servers 
  16. in your Network list. (Note: you can use NapMX 
  17. to get a list of up to date servers: download 
  18. it at - http://napmx.darkservers.net Install it 
  19. after the VBRun60sp5.exe file that it needs to 
  20. work with Windows 9x/ME etc.)

  22.    3.) Search for a file that is already in your
  23. shared list that is unique and likely to be found 
  24. quickly.

  26.    4.) Add yourself from the search results to your
  27. Hotlist then Browse the files that you are sharing
  28. through the servers.

  30.    - The files that you are downloading, but already
  31. have shared, will show up on your Hotlist Browse of
  32. yourself in YELLOW or BLUE - even if they're under
  33. different names than what you have shared them as.
  34.  
  35.    5.) Delete them completely from your transfer 
  36. list (or download directory) so that the incomplete 
  37. files will be removed for the next time you're 
  38. online sharing - avoiding accidentally restarting
  39. the same download again.
